At Anderson Academy, our Middle School program provides a challenging, college-prep-focused curriculum designed to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic excellence while supporting social and emotional growth. Students build strong foundations in STEM, literacy, and the humanities, preparing them for high school and beyond.

Academic Approach

  • Nevada Standards Aligned: All core subjects follow the Nevada Course of Study and incorporate the best national practices.

  • Mathematics: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry concepts; problem-solving, reasoning, and application in real-world contexts.

  • Science: Life Science, Physical Science, and Earth & Space Science; labs, experiments, and inquiry-based learning.

  • English / Language Arts: Literature, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary; focus on analytical and creative writing.

  • Social Studies: Nevada and U.S. History, geography, civics, and cultural studies; emphasis on critical thinking and historical analysis.

  • Health & Physical Education: Wellness, nutrition, and health.

  • Technology & Digital Literacy: Robotics, research, multimedia projects, and responsible digital citizenship.

  • Foreign Language: Introduction to Spanish (or other languages) to develop communication and cultural awareness.

  • Special Courses & Enrichment: Art, music, chess, debate, STEM clubs, and leadership opportunities.
